Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet Update
I have developed a baseball spreadsheet that will go out to Statfox.com, SI.com, ESPN.com and download their web stats content into a spreadsheet. It does it automatically when you open the spreadsheet. I am adding the link below. I suggest that you right click on the link and do a Save Target As.. and save it to your computer or click on Save and NOT open if you left click on the link. Hope someone else can use this, it is just my way of saying thanks to all the great cappers on this site. Any questions or comments, let me know. One word of warning, it downloads a ton of stats. If you have a dial-up connection, it might be very slow. If you receive errors, it may be from the certain websites being down. Have fun.
This is an update from my earlier post. Update 1, fixed some errors that popped up. I also added stats for pitchers last 3 games, career vs and team data for last 7 days, plus umpire information.
Update 2, more error correction, added ballpark orientation for use with the weather. I also added additonal sportsbooks, so you can pick whatever book you use for the odds.
Update 3, couple of error fixes. I had a couple of good suggestion and I added them in. 1. SO/(HR*2)+BB Ratio for starting pitchers. 2. I added overall and Home-Away records and runs per game vs the pitcher arm orientation for each team.
Update 4, more error fixes. Added expanded standings data to include day/night and grass/turf. Added Statfox Power Ratings and Team W-L record for when current pitcher pitched. Added Home Win probabilities for Team Home-Away, Arm Home-Away(vs pitcher arm throws), Arm All, Day-Night, P All (Team W-L when pitcher pitches), P H-A (team W-L when pitcher pitches at Home or Away). I also added game time at the top. I also fixed it so it would work for double headers to pull back the right information.
Update 5 - fixed some errors and CNNSI change somethings on their website today, not cool. Added Average Runs by taking average home runs scored + road runs given up and road runs scored and home runs given up. Here is the cool part: Added pie charts from sportsinsights for ML and OU. Didn't think I could do it, but it worked out nicely.
Update 6 - fixed a major bug that crashed this thing from time to time. Added Quality Start percentage for pitcher, plus Runs For and Runs Against for pitcher. Added columns to mark stats advantage for Starting Pitchers(Using QS%,ERA, WHIP and K/HR+BB), Starting Pitcher Home-Away(Using BAVG against,ERA, WHIP and K/HR+BB), Relief Pitcher(ERA,WHIP,BAVG Against,K/BB OBP), Offense-Battting Average (Home vs Away and by Arm Pitcher Orientation), Offense-On Base %(Home vs Away and by Pitcher Arm Orientation), Offense Runs(Home vs Away, Home vs Away Average, by Pitcher Arm Orientation, by Pitcher Arm Orientation Home or Away)
