Una estadistica interesante
(y un pick?)

01:05 - TEX vs BAL

TEX es el peor equipo de toda la MLB contra lefthanded pitcher (que lanzan con la mano izquierda)
Hoy el pitcher de BAL es el lefthanded Bruce Chen

"Against lefties, the Texas Rangers just can`t get it right.

Despite having only two left-handed bats and a handful of switch-hitters at their disposal, the Rangers are the league`s worst lefty-hitting team. It’s a major reason the league’s second-highest scoring team has managed a league-low 83 runs and just four wins when they face a lefty starter, as is the case Wednesday against Baltimore Orioles` southpaw Bruce Chen.

Those kind of stats are ones that are good to look at because they aren’t always priced into the lines.

The very obvious things like ERA, overall batting, starting pitchers usually are. But if you can get one of these obscure stats like this one, then sometimes you can find good value.

Oddsmakers have roped the underdog title on the Rangers 10 of the 18 times they’ve faced a lefty and bettors shouldn’t expect anything different come Wednesday.

Although Chen isn’t an intimidating presence on the hill, Wednesday’s starter has kept the Orioles in the AL East divisional hunt with his sweet home cooking. The Orioles lefty is 5-1 with a 2.28 ERA in eight starts at Camden Yard.

Factor in Texas is scoring nearly two runs less per game on the road versus lefties than against right-handed pitchers and there’s a strong chance they could be a fading favorite
.

BAL @ 1.73 ??
